Plain language is best. What does the business use it for? Who would be blocked if it stopped working tomorrow?

A rough estimate is fine — "about 8 years" or "installed before I joined" both work.

You do not need exact versions. "It runs on Windows servers," "a SaaS we no longer have admin access to," or "I am not sure" are all useful answers.

Internal staff, external customers, or both. An estimate is enough.

If a developer or vendor is still actively maintaining the system, say who. If not, that is exactly why we exist.
